Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best known for playing in the popular TV show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. From the time he was at college Christopher Meloni was fascinated by the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films and on television but it's the character actors on smaller screens that have given him popularity. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' attention. His initial project was a TV serial however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. One of his most striking face features is thought to have been the piercing blue eye that has allowed him to portray characters who appear rough and fascinating. He was listed in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
